Open Access Policy
Open Access and Archiving Policy
All issues of the journal are freely accessible through the journal’s website. Articles can be downloaded in PDF format. No fees are requested from authors for submission, evaluation, or publication under any justification. Since the commencement of its publication activities in 2025, Sublime Porte has published all academic articles under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). The journal is fully open access, and all of its content is made freely available to readers and/or the institutions with which they are affiliated, without any financial, legal, or technical barriers.
Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or provide links to the full texts of the journal’s articles for non-commercial purposes, without requiring prior permission from either the publisher or the author. This policy is fully compliant with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access. The publisher has signed the Budapest Open Access Declaration. By submitting their works to the journal under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, authors are deemed to have accepted the following conditions:
- The copyright of the published article remains vested in the author(s).
- Authors grant Sublime Porte the right to publish the article and to identify itself as the original publisher.
- Authors grant any third party the right to use the article freely, provided that the original author(s) and the bibliographic details of the work are clearly acknowledged.
- Nothing in this license shall infringe upon or restrict an author’s right to protect the integrity and ownership of their work.
- All commercial rights related to the article remain exclusively with the author(s).
All articles published in the journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This license permits sharing, copying, reproducing, and redistributing the material in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes, as well as adapting, remixing, transforming, and building upon the work, provided that appropriate attribution to the original work is given.
The CC BY-NC 4.0 license allows users to exercise these freedoms under the following terms:
- Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
- Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material.
Under the following conditions:
- Attribution: Appropriate credit must be given, a link to the license must be provided, and any changes made must be indicated. Attribution must not suggest endorsement by the licensor.
- NonCommercial: The material may not be used for commercial purposes.
No additional legal or technological restrictions may be applied that would legally restrict others from exercising the rights granted by the license. As long as the license terms are fulfilled, the licensor cannot revoke these freedoms.
The journal’s open access content is digitally preserved through LOCKSS via the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). The LOCKSS system is authorized to collect, preserve, and provide access to the archived content.
