we present our readers with four original research articles, one translated piece, and one book review. In the field of Islamic history, a study examining the approach of ittibā' in Mamluk-era Egypt and its transmission to Anatolia offers a compelling example of how ideas are reshaped as they cross geographical boundaries. Within the context of Ottoman history, we encounter two complementary perspectives: the first offers a comparative analysis of the mentalities underlying European and Ottoman approaches to epidemic diseases and quarantine practices, while the second provides an in-depth examination of the rose's place in Ottoman social memory through the lenses of scent, status, and ritual. A contribution from the field of educational sciences explores the dimensions of the Khwarizmi educational model, tracing its path from knowledge transmission to moral awareness.
